(Ord. 1929 § 1, 2006) Sections: 5.36.010 Established 5.36.020 Boundaries 5.36.030 Amendments To State Law 5.36.040 Purpose 5.36.050 Assessments 5.36.060 Exemptions 5.36.070 Power To Contract 5.36.080 Collection Of Assessments 5.36.010 Established: There is established in the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon and Dublin the Tri-Valley tourism business improvement district ("the district"), under the provisions of the property and business improvement district law of 1994, as set forth in the Streets and Highways Code of the state, section 36600 et seq. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2006) 5.36.020 Boundaries: The boundaries of the district shall be the corporate limits of the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon and Dublin as such corporate limits aze amended from time to time. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2006) 5.36.030 Amendments To State Law: The businesses and operation of the district shall be subject to any amend- 5.36.040 Purpose: The purposes for which the assess- ments collected under this chapter shall be used aze the statutory purposes set forth in section 36600 et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the state, or one or more of the following purpos- es: A. Sales and mazketing programs and activities designed to attract overnight groups. B. Communications and public rela- tions activities and services to build greater awazeness of Tri-Valley busi- nesses and the Tri-Valley region as a tourism, meeting, and event destination. C. Administrative costs and opera- tion. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2006) 5.36.050 Assessments: All lodging businesses with thirty five (35) or more rooms available for public occupancy within the boundaries of the district shall be subject to an assessment based upon one dollaz ($1.00) per paid occupied room per night. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2006) 5.36.060 Exemptions: Stays by persons who aze govern- ment employees on government busi- ness and stays of thirty (30) days or more shall be exempt from the assess- ment.
