There is adopted by reference those certain codes known as the na- tional electrical code, and the uniform administrative code provisions for the national electrical code, more particu- lazly described in this section, except such portions as aze amended, modified 20.20.010 or deleted in this chapter, and the same aze adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this chapter. B. Said code is the California Building Standards Code (24 CCR), and including by reference the national electrical code, 2002 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Associ- ation and there is adopted by reference that certain code known as the uniform administrative code provisions for the national electrical code published by the International Conference of Build- ing Officials, 1996 edition. One copy is on file with the city clerk for use by the public. C. Where there is a reference in the code to the "authority having jurisdic- tion" or the "chief electrical inspector" it shall mean the chief building official or in the absence of the chief building official, the interim, temporary or act- ing chief building official. D. Where there is a reference in the code to "electrical inspector" it shall mean the person designated by the "chief building official" or in the ab- sence of the chief building official, the interim, temporazy or acting chief building official. E. Where there is a reference in the code to a "qualified person" it shall mean an electrical contractor licensed by the state of California or other per- son licensed by the state of California to contract for electrical work.
