There is adopted by reference <br />those certain codes known as the na- <br />tional electrical code, and the uniform <br />administrative code provisions for the <br />national electrical code, more particu- <br />lazly described in this section, except <br />such portions as aze amended, modified <br />20.20.010 <br />or deleted in this chapter, and the same <br />aze adopted and incorporated as fully as <br />if set out at length in this chapter. <br />B. Said code is the California <br />Building Standards Code (24 CCR), <br />and including by reference the national <br />electrical code, 2002 edition, published <br />by the National Fire Protection Associ- <br />ation and there is adopted by reference <br />that certain code known as the uniform <br />administrative code provisions for the <br />national electrical code published by <br />the International Conference of Build- <br />ing Officials, 1996 edition. One copy is <br />on file with the city clerk for use by the <br />public. <br />C. Where there is a reference in the <br />code to the "authority having jurisdic- <br />tion" or the "chief electrical inspector" <br />it shall mean the chief building official <br />or in the absence of the chief building <br />official, the interim, temporary or act- <br />ing chief building official. <br />D. Where there is a reference in the <br />code to "electrical inspector" it shall <br />mean the person designated by the <br />"chief building official" or in the ab- <br />sence of the chief building official, the <br />interim, temporazy or acting chief <br />building official. <br />E. Where there is a reference in the <br />code to a "qualified person" it shall <br />mean an electrical contractor licensed <br />by the state of California or other per- <br />son licensed by the state of California <br />to contract for electrical work.
