17.50.040 <br />17.50.040 Standard For Compliance: <br />A. Covered Projects: All covered <br />projects shall meet the following re- <br />quirements: <br />1. All commercial projects shall meet <br />a minimum LEEDTM "certified" rating, <br />except as modified by the provisions of <br />subsection B of this section. <br />2. All city sponsored projects that aze <br />neither residential projects nor mixed <br />use projects shall achieve a minimum <br />LEEDTM "certified" rating, except as <br />modified by the provisions of subsec- <br />tion B of this section, and aze encour- <br />aged to meet the "silver" rating. <br />3. All single-family residential pro- <br />jects, including any such city sponsored <br />project, shall achieve a "green home" <br />rating on the single-family green build- <br />ing rating system, which currently <br />requires fifty (50) points. <br />4. All multi-family residential pro- <br />jects, including any such city sponsored <br />project, shall achieve a "green home" or <br />similarly entitled minimum compliance <br />rating on the multi-family green build- <br />ing rating system, which currently <br />requires fifty (50) points, unless the <br />green building compliance official <br />determines that the single-family green <br />building rating system is more appro- <br />priate for the building, such as for a <br />duplex that is not part of a lazger pro- <br />ject. <br />5. All mixed use projects, including <br />any such city sponsored project, shall <br />meet the requirements for amulti-fami- <br />ly residential project, unless the green <br />building compliance official determines <br />that another rating system is more <br />appropriate. <br />B. Actions Not Required: <br />1. LEEDTM Registration And Certifi- <br />cation: Applicants aze encouraged to <br />register commercial projects and other <br />applicable covered projects with the <br />U.S. Green Building Council. LEEDTM <br />certification through the U.S. Green <br />Building Council is not required under <br />this chapter. <br />2. Building Commissioning: Building <br />commissioning, although specified as a <br />prerequisite for all LEEDTM ratings, is <br />not required under this chapter. Appli- <br />cants aze encouraged to verify that <br />fundamental building systems aze de- <br />signed, installed, and calibrated to <br />operate as intended. <br />C. Noncovered Projects: Applicants <br />for noncovered projects are encouraged <br />to incorporate green building measures, <br />but aze not required to submit any <br />documentation nor is there any verifica- <br />tion of compliance. <br />D. Compliance As A Condition Of <br />Approval: Compliance with the provi- <br />sions of this chapter shall be listed as a <br />condition of approval on any design <br />review or planned unit development <br />design review approval issued for a <br />covered project. Failure to comply with <br />any of the terms of this chapter shall <br />subject the covered project to the full <br />range of enforcement mechanisms set <br />forth in section 17.50.100 of this chap- <br />ter. (Ord. 1934 § 1, 2006) <br />17.50.050 Submission Of <br />Prepermitting <br />Documentation: <br />A. Prepermitting Documentation: In <br />conjunction with the application for <br />design review or planned unit devel- <br />opment design review, whichever is <br />applicable, the applicant shall submit <br />documentation indicating the measures <br />(Pleasanton June 2006) 472-10 <br />
