A "minor" is a person under the <br />age of eighteen (18) years. <br />B. "Curfew hours" aze the period of <br />time from ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. <br />until six o'clock (6:00) A.M. the fol- <br />lowing morning. <br />C. "Parent" means a person who is <br />the natural pazent, adoptive pazent or <br />stepparent of the minor. <br />D. "Guazdian" means a person who, <br />under court order, is the guazdian of the <br />minor or a public or private agency <br />with whom a minor has been placed by <br />a court. <br />E. "Responsible adult" means a per- <br />son at least eighteen (18) yeazs of age <br />and authorized by a parent or guazdian <br />to have the caze and custody of the <br />minor. <br />F. "Establishment" means any pri- <br />vately owned place of business operat- <br />ed for profit to which the public is <br />invited including, but not limited to, <br />any place of amusement or entertain- <br />ment. <br />G. "Operator" means any individual, <br />firm, association, partnership or corpo- <br />ration operating, managing or conduct- <br />ing any establishment. <br />H. "Police chief" means the chief of <br />police or the chief of police's designee. <br />I. "Public place" means any place the <br />public or a substantial group of the <br />public has access to and includes, but is <br />not limited to, streets, highways, com- <br />mon areas of schools, hospitals, apart- <br />ment houses, office buildings, conve- <br />nience stores, transport facilities and <br />shopping centers. <br />J. "Remain" means to linger, stay, or <br />be present without lawful business, or <br />fail to leave when requested to do so by <br />a police officer, the owner, operator or <br />other person in control of the premises. <br />K. "Emergency" means unforeseen <br />circumstances or a situation that calls <br />for immediate action. This term in- <br />cludes, but is not limited to, an automo- <br />bile collision, fire, explosion, natural <br />disaster or any situation requiring im- <br />mediate action to prevent serious bodily <br />injury or death.
