1.10.010 Chapter 1.10 CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE Sections: 1.10.010 Model Code Adopted By Reference 1.10.020 Statements Of Econom- ic Interests 1.10.030 Disclosure Categories 1.10.040 Designated Positions 1.10.050 Consultants 1.10.060 Relatives Of Designat- ed Officials And Employees 1.10.010 Model Code Adopted By Reference: Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the model conflict of interest code, as adopted by the fair political practices commission (2 California Code of Regulations, section 18730), and any properly adopted amendments thereto, are hereby incorporated by reference and shall constitute the con- flict of interest code of the city. The city clerk shall maintain at all times three (3) copies of said code. (Ord. 1573 § 1, 1992) 1.10.020 Statements Of Economic Interests: The officials and employees desig- nated in section 1.10.040 of this chap- ter shall file statements of economic interest with the city clerk. Upon re- ceipt of the statements of the city council, planning commission, city manager, city attorney and employees making decisions relating to financial investments, the city clerk shall make and retain a copy and forward the origi- nal of these statements to the fair polit- ical practices commission. The city clerk shall retain statements for all other designated employees. (Ord. 1706 § 1, 1997; Ord. 1573 § 1, 1992) 1.10.030 Disclosure Categories: The following disclosure categories are hereby adopted: A. Disclosure Category 1: Designat- ed officials and employees in this dis- closure category shall disclose all sources of income, interests in real property and investments and business positions in business entities. B. Disclosure Category 2: Designated officials and employees in this disclo- sure category shall disclose all invest- ments and business positions in busi- ness entities and sources of income which provide services, supplies, mate- rials, machinery or equipment of the type utilized by the city. C. Disclosure Category 3: Designated officials and employees in this disclo- sure category shall disclose all invest- ments and business positions in busi- ness entities and sources of income which provide services, supplies, mate- rials or equipment of the type utilized by the designated employee's depart- ment or division.
