"Chief of police" means the chief <br />of police of the city of Pleasanton. <br />3. "City attorney" means the city <br />attorney of the city of Pleasanton. <br />4. "City clerk" means the city clerk <br />of the city of Pleasanton. <br />5. "Director of public works" means <br />the director of public works of the city <br />of Pleasanton. <br />6. "Secretary" means the secretary of <br />the city planning commission. <br />7. "Zoning administrator" means the <br />zoning administrator of the city of <br />Pleasanton, or his deputy designated by <br />the city manager of the city of <br />Pleasanton. (Prior Code § 2-5.16) <br />18.08.005 Generally: <br />For the purposes of this title, certain <br />words and terms used in this title are <br />defined as provided in this chapter. <br />(Prior Code title 2, ch. 1, art. 2) <br />18.08.010 City Boards, Commissions <br />And Officials: <br />A. City Boards And Commissions: <br />1. "City" means the city of Pleasan- <br />ton, Alameda County, California. <br />2. "City council" and "council" mean <br />the city council of the city of <br />Pleasanton. <br />3. "City planning commission", <br />"planning commission" and "the com- <br />mission" mean the planning commis- <br />sion duly appointed by the city council <br />of the city of Pleasanton. <br />B. City Officials: <br />1. "Building inspector" means the <br />building inspector of the city of <br />18.08.015 Access Corridor: <br />"Access corridor" means a portion of <br />the site providing access from a street <br />and having a minimum dimension less <br />than the required site width, except that <br />no portion of a site having side lot lines <br />radial to the center of curvature of a <br />street from the street property line to <br />the rear lot line shall be deemed an <br />access corridor. The area of an access <br />corridor shall not be included in deter- <br />mining the area of a site. (Prior Code <br />18.08.020 Alley: <br />"Alley" means a public way perma- <br />nently reserved primarily for vehicular <br />service access to the rear or side of <br />properties otherwise abutting on a <br />street.
