15.08.260 <br />users engaged in any activity resulting in <br />the production of industrial wastes which <br />enter the sewerage system. (Ord. 1082 <br />§ 2, 1983; Prior Code § 2-15.01.24) <br />15.08.270 Industrial Wastes Or <br />Industrial Sewage: <br />"Industrial wastes" or "industrial sew- <br />age" means a combination of liquid or <br />water carried sewage or waste resulting <br />from a manufacturing process employed <br />in industrial establishments, including, <br />without limitation, any washing water, <br />cleaning water or drain water from such <br />process. The same shall also include <br />waste from Zeolite type softening regen- <br />eration plants and water from commercial <br />laundries. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior <br />Code § 2-15.01.25) <br />15.08.280 Infiltration And Inflow: <br />"Infiltration and inflow" means the <br />infiltration and inflow of water into the <br />sewerage system. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; <br />Prior Code § 2-15.01.26) <br />15.08.290 Local Costs: <br />"Local costs" means costs which are <br />borne in their entirety by the city and <br />include all expenses incurred up to the <br />point of delivery of effluent to the district <br />system and all expenses associated with <br />disposing of city effluent via the <br />Livermore-Amador Valley water manage- <br />ment agency's wastewater export system. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.27) <br />15.08.300 Major Contributing <br />Industry: <br />"Major contributing industry" means an <br />industrial user who meets one or more of <br />the following criteria, as determined by <br />the director: <br />A. The user is one of the thirty four <br />(34) natural resources defense council <br />("NRDC") industries for which the United <br />States environmental protection agency <br />intends to set categorical standards, and <br />the user is not in an exempt subcategory; <br />B. The user's average flow exceeds <br />twenty five thousand (25,000) GPD or the <br />average BOD or SS loading exceeds fifty <br />(50) pounds per day; <br />C. The user's average flow exceeds <br />two thousand five hundred (2,500) GPD, <br />and priority pollutants or prohibited dis- <br />charge pollutants are known to be present; <br />D. The user's average flow is less than <br />two thousand five hundred (2,500) GPD, <br />and priority pollutants or prohibited <br />discharge pollutants are known to be <br />present in significant concentrations; <br />E. The user is known to have caused, <br />is suspected to have caused, or has the <br />potential to cause, operational problems at <br />the treatment plant. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; <br />Prior Code § 2-15.01.28) <br />15.08.310 Million Gallons/Million <br />Gallons Per Day <br />(MG/MGD): <br />"Million gallons/million gallons per <br />day (MG/MGD)" means one million <br />(1,000,000) gallons and one million <br />(1,000,000) gallons per day, respectively. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.29) <br />373 (Pleasanton January 2004) <br />
