20.o8.os7 <br />20.08.057 Section 2513.1 Amended - <br />Shear-Resisting <br />Construction With <br />Wood Frame: <br />Section 2513.1 of the California <br />Building Standards Code 2001 Edition <br />(24 CCR), and including by reference <br />the Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edi- <br />tion, is amended to read as follows: <br />General. Cement plaster, gypsum lath <br />and plaster, gypsum veneer base, <br />gypsum sheathing board, and gypsum <br />wallboard may be used, on wood <br />studs for vertical diaphragms in <br />single story R3 and U occupancies if <br />applied in accordance with this sec- <br />tion. Any use of <br />public property as may be outlined in <br />this Chapter requires the builder to <br />obtain an encroachment permit prior <br />to such use and is subject to the <br />approval of the Director of Public <br />Works. Buildings and structures to <br />which additions, alterations or repairs <br />are made shall comply with all the <br />requirements of this Code for new <br />facilities except as specifically pro- <br />vided in this section.
