B. Oriel Or Bay Windows: Oriel or bay windows may project not more than three feet (3') into a required front yard, rear yard, or side yard on the street side of a corner lot, provided that the aggregate width of oriel or bay windows shall not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the length of the wall in which they are located, and the width of any individual oriel or bay window shall not exceed ten feet (10'). C. Porches And Steps: Unroofed porches, steps, decks, and terraces may project not more than eight feet (8') into a required front yard or side yard on the street side of a corner lot, or to a point not closer than three feet (3') to an interior side or rear property line, provided that the height, including railings, shall not exceed six feet (6') above the grade of the ground at the property line. D. Balconies Over Six Feet Above- ground: Balconies, decks, terraces, and other similar unroofed structures at a height, including railing, more than six feet (6') above the level at which a yard must be provided, may project not more than eight feet (8') into a required front yard or rear yard and five feet (5') into any other required yard, pro- vided that they shall not reduce any yard to less than five feet (5') except on the street side of a corner lot. Such structures shall be cantilevered or sup- ported only by necessary columns. A balcony or deck projecting from a high- er story may extend over a lower balco- ny or deck. E. Open Stairways: Open, unenclosed fire escapes and fireproof outside stair- ways may project into any required yard not more than four feet (4'), pro- vided that no yard shall be reduced to less than three feet (3'). F. Covered Patios: Covered patios attached to a main structure and en- closed on more than one side may project not more than eight feet (8') into a required rear yard and five feet (5') into a required side yard within thirty five feet (35') of the rear lot line, provided that the required side yard shall not be reduced to less than five feet (5'). Covered patios attached to a main structure and opening on three (3) sides may come to within five feet (5') of the rear property line and three feet (3') from the side property lines of property within any residential zone. G. Underground Structures: Covered underground structures may project without limit into any required yard, provided that they shall not have a height of more than two and one-half feet (2'/2') and provided that their sur- faces are landscaped.
