Box 520 Pleasanton, CA 94566-0802 Canyon Meadows Pun~ Station Dear Joet In reply to the re<~est of AZ Baez and Steve Cusenza of your staff, w~-have prepared this proposal to perform services during construction of the Canyon Meadows Pump Station. CDM proposes to perfore the [oilowing services.. Task 1 - Shop Pra~_n~ Review Review and approve (or take other appropriate action) shop drawings and samples, the results of tests and inspections, and other data which the Contractor is required to sul~dt, but only for conformance with the design concept of the project and con~liace with the information given in the Contract DoCuments (but Such review and approval or other action shall be extended to means, methods, sequences, techniques, or procedures of construction, or to safety precautions and procjrams incident thereto); detemine the acceptability of substitute materials and eguilaent proposed by the Contractor; and receive and review (for general content as required by the Specifications) maintenance and operating instructions, schedules, guarantees, and certificates of inspection which are to be assembled by Contractor in accordance with the Contract Documents. Task 2 - Assist. with Cha~.~ie Orders Issue all instructions of the city to Contractor; issue necessary interpretations and clarifications of the Contract Documents and in cameorich therewith prepare change orders as required/act as initial interpretor of the requirements of the Contract Documents pertaining to the execution and progress of the work; but CIM shall not be liable for the results of any such interpretations or decisions rendered by him in good faith.
