CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-307 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> MJB PIPELINE, FOR WATER AND SEWER <br /> IMPROVEMENTS FOR VARIOUS CITY STREETS, <br /> PROJECT NO. 881031 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> Water and Sewer Improvements for Various City <br /> Street, Project No. 881031; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> July 18, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of MJB Pipeline, in the amount of $383,627 <br /> was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of MJB Pipeline be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of MJB Pipeline, in the amount of <br /> $383,627, for water and sewer improvements for <br /> various City streets, Project No. 881031, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the appropriation of $42,810 from the <br /> Water Fund and $34,173 from the Sewer Fund. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with MJB Pipeline for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
