CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-304 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> V~t~Y CREST LANDSCAPE, INC., FORT HE <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF NIELSEN PARK, PROJECT <br /> NO. 877054 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> the construction of Nielsen Park, Project <br /> No. 877054; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> July 18, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Valley Crest Landscape, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $457,799.00 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Valley Crest Landscape, <br /> Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Valley Crest Landscape, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $457,799.00, for construction of Nielsen <br /> Park, Project No. 877054, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with Valley Crest Landscape, Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
