CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-295 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO <br /> SIGN AGREEMENT WITH PACIFIC BELL <br /> CONCERNING UNDERGROUND TELEPHONE <br /> FACILITIES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton will soon be constructing <br /> certain freeway interchange improvements in the <br /> vicinity of Route 1-680 at Stoneridge Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pacific Bell (Pacific) has in that general location <br /> certain underground telephone facilities, <br /> consisting of conventional cable and fiber optics <br /> transmission lines; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, protection of these facilities is important, since <br /> any damage to the facilities could disrupt service <br /> to customers of Pacific; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties have reached agreement with respect to <br /> allocating responsibilities for relocating the <br /> facilities, for protecting the facilities during <br /> construction, and for the cost thereof. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and <br /> Pacific Bell concerning the above-identified <br /> underground telephone facilities is approved and <br /> the City Manager is authorized to sign said <br /> Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
