PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />APPROVED <br />Wednesday, October 25, 2006 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of October 25, 2006 was called to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />by Acting Chairperson Fox. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Staff Members Present: Donna Decker, Principal Planner; Julie Hangman, <br />Assistant City Attorney; Phil Grubstick, City Engineer; and <br />Cory Emberson, Recording Secretary. <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Phil Blank, Anne Fox, Greg O'Connor, <br />Arne Olson, and Jennifer Pearce. <br />Commissioners Absent: None. <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Decker noted that because the last meeting was held just one week prior, the minutes <br />for the meeting of October 18, 2006 will be considered at the November 8, 2006 meeting. <br />3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO <br />ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS <br />NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA. <br />Kevin Close, 871 Sycamore Road, noted that the previous week's meeting addressed the <br />PUD in the Happy Valley area, and he was concerned about his perceived lack of <br />knowledge by the Commission with respect to the Happy Valley Specific Plan and the <br />Happy Valley area in general. He realized that staff provided the answers to their <br />questions and noted that both the public and staff may sometimes be incorrect. <br />Regarding the Heartwood Communities, he noted that that PUD was not part of the golf <br />course development as stated by the Commission during the previous week.
