In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Fox regazding the height of the home originally <br />proposed, Mr. Boyce replied that it was measured from average grade to midpoint, and it was <br />29 feet, 11 inches, within the Code requirement of 30 feet. <br />At this point of the meeting, Chairperson Arkin advised that if this item was not done by <br />11:00 p.m., the work session on Item 6.c., PUD-92-02-09M, Barnabas Naev, would not be <br />held tonight. <br />Ms. Harryman noted that the Commission could continue Item 6.c. at this time. <br />Commissioner Blank believed the likelihood of addressing the Ruby Hill item was very low <br />and suggested continuing it at this time so the speakers did not need to wait. <br />In response to an inquiry by Chairperson Arkin regarding whether there were any <br />time-sensitive legal issues pending from Item 6.c., Ms. Decker confirmed there were not and <br />that it was a workshop. <br />Commissioner Blank moved to postpone Item 6.c. to the next meeting, and have it <br />heard first on the agenda. <br />Commissioner Olson seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Blank, Fox, Olson, and Pearce. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />The motion passed. <br />A recess was called at 9:15 p.m. <br />Chairperson Arkin reconvened the meeting at 9:30 p.m. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br />Lori Speazs, 4603 Sierrawood Lane, spoke in support of this item. She noted that she had <br />known the applicants for ten years and that living Downtown had been one of their dreams. <br />She understood what the applicants were trying to do and did not believe the proposed <br />project was out of chazacter with the other homes.
