2. Add a new condition as follows: <br />“The applicant shall submit an exterior lighting plan for the site and <br />building, including photometrics, for the review and approval of the <br />Planning Director and Chief Building Official prior to the issuance of <br />building permits. The lighting plan shall comply with the City’s Security <br />Ordinance (Chapter 20.36 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code) and the <br />following requirements: <br />“(a) Lighting shall be directed away from adjacent properties and shall <br />incorporate cut-off shield-type fixtures to prevent glare onto <br />adjacent properties or roadways. <br />“(b) The height of the light poles shall not exceed 10½ feet. If additional <br />lighting is necessary to comply with the City’s Security Ordinance, <br />then additional light poles and/or fixtures shall be provided at the site. <br />“(c) Light levels at the easterly property line shall be designed to meet the <br />required foot candles for security.” <br />Commissioner Olson seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Fox requested that the motion be amended to include a <br />condition that would provide for the addition of temporary trellises if the street <br />landscaping were to be insufficiently mature, at the discretion of the Planning <br />Director. <br /> <br />Commissioners Pearce and Olson accepted the proposed amendment. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Fox noted that she liked the Desert Sand color better than the <br />Bayberry color. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pearce was confident that the architect had made an informed choice in <br />color selection. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Blank, Fox, O’Connor, Olson, and Pearce. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Arkin. <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-2006-50 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br /> <br />A recess was called at 8:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Fox reconvened the meeting at 8:17 p.m. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES September 13, 2006 Page 8 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
