With respect to the motion on page 9, Chairperson Arkin inquired what the makeup of the <br />mediation attendees would be. Commissioner Fox believed that Mr. Bennett and the appellant <br />would be included in the mediation. <br />Chairperson Arkin requested that staff check the meeting tape for that information. <br />Ms. Decker advised that staff would present that information to the Commission at the next <br />meeting. <br />The consideration of the minutes was continued to July 26, 2006. <br />3. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />There were no Consent Calendar items. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />a. PDR-458/PV-152, Norman Cornett/Peak Property Main Street, LLC <br />Application for: (1) design review approval to construct an approximately 3,896-squaze- <br />foot, two-story addition to the existing Kolln Hazdwaze building and to relocate and <br />restore the two easterly one-story structures; and (2) a variance from the Municipal Code <br />to reduce the number of required pazking spaces for this project by four spaces. The <br />property is located at 600 Main Street and is zoned C-C (Central-Commercial) <br />Downtown Revitalization, Core Area Overlay Districts. <br />Also consider the Negative Declazation prepazed for this project. <br />Mr. Otto presented the staff report and summarized the scope and layout of this project. The <br />applicant requested a pazking variance to reduce the number of pazking spaces by four because <br />the retention and relocation of the historic one-story buildings required that the existing fout- <br />space pazking lot be removed. If that vaziance were approved, the project would be required to <br />provide ten pazking spaces. The applicant requested an in-lieu pazking agreement for the ten <br />parking spaces, totaling $140,000. The applicant has received Zoning Administrator approval to <br />repair and restore the existing Kolln Hazdwaze building, including weatherproofing and seismic <br />
