improvements (improves coverage in Springtown and Southwest <br />Pleasanton) <br />New Alternative 3 - "Status Quo with Migration" Replacement <br />System, with migration path to earlier Task 2~ Alternative B/C (also <br />improves coverage in Springtown and Southwest Pleasanton) <br />2. The New Alternative 3, while similar to Task 2 Alternative A (Status Quo) in <br />the Report, requires Consultant to provide information concerning system design to permit <br />integration with the EBRCS at some future time and includes the following specific <br />activities: <br />a) Identification of common tower site location that could improve <br />coverage in Southwest Pleasanton as well as support the area <br />currently served by the proposed EBRCS site at the Sunol <br />CDF Fire Station; <br />b) Estimate costs for new tower and shelter there; and <br />c) Describe the steps and process necessary to implement New <br />Alternative 3 should Cities decide on that alternative. <br />3. Consistent with the requirements for Activity 2d: "Present System <br />Design Options" of Appendix E to the Agreement, Consultant shall develop New. <br />Alternatives 1 through 3, including an estimate of costs, benefits and risk for each <br />solution, as well as a presentation of the advantages and disadvantages of each <br />option. <br />4. Consultant shall prepare a supplemental report for New Alternatives 1 <br />through 3 consistent with the requirements in Activity 2g: "Report Development" of <br />Appendix E to the Agreement. Consultant shall formally present and be prepared to <br />discuss the supplemental report to Cities at a location of their choosing. <br />5. Section 4 Term: of the Agreement is hereby amended to extend the <br />termination date from June 30, 2007 to September 30, 2007. <br />6. Section 7 Payment and Expenses: of the Agreement is hereby amended to <br />provide that Cities shall pay Consultant the following for the additional services performed <br />pursuant to this Amendment: <br />Develop New Alternatives 1 $14,152 <br />through 3 and prepare <br />supplemental report. <br />Present supplemental report to $2,716 <br />Cities <br />7. The Amendments are prospective and only apply to services rendered by <br />Consultant after the execution of this Amendment. Unless otherwise stated herein, this <br />Amendment does not and shall not relieve the parties of the terms and conditions of the <br />Page 2 <br />
