ACTIA Bicycle/Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Fund Program ACTIA No. A07-0014 <br />Cycle 3 Grant Funding Agreement <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND TASK BREAKDOWN <br />Project Sponsor: East Bay Regional Park District <br />Project Title: Alamo Canal Trail Undercrossing of I-580 Project (PS&E) <br />ACTIA Project Number: A07-0014 <br />Grant Notice to Proceed Date: July 1, 2007 <br />Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project: $ 235,000 <br />Total Project Cost: $ 335,000 <br />Project Sponsor Matching Funds: <br />Amount Source <br />$ 100,000 Local Funds <br />Percentage: Total ACTIA Funds Awarded to Project/Total Project Cost: 70.1 <br />Project Description: <br />In general, the Project consists of preparing plans, specifications and estimates for the <br />Alamo Canal Trail undercrossing at I-580 as described in the project application submitted <br />by the Project Sponsor to ACTIA. <br />The Project site is located at the border of Dublin and Pleasanton. The ultimate facility will <br />provide an undercrossing of Interstate 580 and the BART tracks, thereby closing a 600-foot <br />gap in the existing Alamo Canal Trail, and creating a continuous 3.6 mile Class I bicycle and <br />pedestrian path. <br />Specifically, the Project will include a geotechnical investigation and report, a hydraulics <br />report, Caltrans mapping, civil design of trail, structural design, agency coordination, <br />construction permitting, resource permitting and contract management of the consultants <br />performing the project. <br />The EBRPD will work with the Cities of Dublin and Pleasanton as well as Caltrans, BART, <br />Zone 7 Water Agency, and the Hacienda Business Park Association in developing this <br />project; and will strive to develop a final design that is mutually agreeable to all parties. <br />The i~ieasure B funds authorized by this funding agreement are earmarked for the design <br />costs. <br />BikePed-Cycle3-A070014-EBRPD-AlamoCanalTrail Page 9 of 19 <br />
