CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-271 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> O'GRADY PAVING, INC., FOR RESURFACING OF <br /> FOOTHILL ROAD, SPRINGDAT~ AVENUE AND <br /> OWENS DRIVE, PROJECT NO. 8850198 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> Resurfacing of Foothill Road, Springdale Avenue and <br /> Owens Drive, Project No. 8850198; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 20, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $337,176.40, was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., <br /> be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O'Grady Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $337,176.40, for resurfacing of Foothill Road, <br /> Springdale Avenue and Owens Drive, Project No. <br /> 8850198, is hereby accepted by the City Council as <br /> the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with O'Grady Paving, Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
