CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-270 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> REDGWICK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, FOR <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF THE JOHNSON DRIVE BIKE <br /> LANE, PROJECT NO. 875015 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> construction of the Johnson Drive Bike Lane, <br /> Project No. 875015; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 20, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Redgwick Construction Company, in the <br /> amount of $44,695.80 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Redgwick Construction <br /> Company be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Redgwick Construction Company, in the <br /> amount of $44,695.80, for construction of the <br /> Johnson Drive Bike Lane, Project No. 875015, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with Redgwick Construction Company for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes an appropriation of $22,930.59 from <br /> the General Fund. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
