RESCINDED BY RESOLUTION 89-360 <br /> ON 8-15-'89 <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-261 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TIE VOTE Fo~Cl~ <br /> PRO~Y~R~'~'FOR THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the request of the City Council, the City ~l'C~ <br /> Attorney researched the question of tie vote <br /> p~ee~D~es and presented his report (IR 89:40) for <br /> Council review. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The following e is established in the <br /> event of a tie vote: <br /> <br /> "Tie votes are to be considered defeated motions if <br /> the entire Council is present. <br /> <br /> If the entire Council is not present, then the <br /> motion should be carried forward to the next <br /> meeting at which the entire Council is present." <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 6, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: KENNETH R.
