CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-259 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AB 1611, <br /> RESTRUCTURE OFMEMBERSHIP ON THE <br /> METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 6, 1989, the Mayor presented <br /> a letter received from Assemblywoman Delaine Eastin <br /> requesting support of AB 1611, regarding <br /> restructure of membership on the Metropolitan <br /> Transportation Commission; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council expresses its support of <br /> AB 1611, the recommended restructure of membership <br /> on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission to <br /> more equally represent the population of the area. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 6, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~~/~j,4/ <br /> KENNETH 2.
