CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> DOWNTOWN PARKING LOT DESIGN STUDY <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this day of <br /> , 1989, by and between the CITY OF <br />PT~ASANTON, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to <br />as "City"), and KORVE ENGINEERING, INC., a California <br />corporation, (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> A. Consultant is qualified to provide, and experienced <br />in providing engineering services and has offered its <br />services for the purposes specified in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of Consultant for the <br />purpose of undertaking their engineering services. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual <br />covenants, agreements and conditions contained herein, City <br />and Consultant agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultant's Services. Consultant shall diligently <br />perform the services and furnish the materials, reports, <br />maps, and so forth as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br /> a. Consultant shall perform all work described in <br /> Exhibit "A", "Scope of Work," attached hereto <br /> and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> b. Consultant shall meet with the technical staff <br /> of the City, other pertinent agencies, and/or <br /> landowners as necessary to complete the scope <br /> of work outlined in Section l(a) herein. <br /> <br /> 2. City Services. In order to assist Consultant in <br />this study, City shall provide title reports, any existing <br />plans of the area on file, and necessary direction within a <br />reasonable time. <br /> <br /> 3. Staff. Project Manager for Consultant shall be <br />Robert T. Okamura. Consultant shall confer with City and <br />City shall agree to a change prior to any change of Project <br />Manager. <br /> <br /> 4. Sufficiency of Consultant's Work. Consultant <br />agrees that all maps, plans and specifications prepared for <br />City shall be to the standard of practice and care of the <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
