CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-239 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> B & B CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR <br /> FOOTHIT.T. ROAD SOUNDW~T.T., PHASES IAAND <br /> II, PROJECT NO. 875059 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> Foothill Road Soundwall, Phases IA and II, Project <br /> No. 875059; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 6, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of B & B Concrete Construction, Inc., in <br /> the amount of $404,492.00, was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of B & B Concrete <br /> Construction, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of B & B Concrete Construction, Inc., in <br /> the amount of $404,492.00, for Foothill Road <br /> Soundwall, Phases IA and II, Project No. 875059, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with B & B Concrete Construction, Inc. for <br /> the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
