CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-235 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> O. C. JONES & SONS, FOR THE SUNOL <br /> BOULEVARD WIDENING IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT <br /> NO. 885083 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> the Sunol Boulevard Widening Improvements, Project <br /> No. 885083; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on June 6, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons, in the amount of <br /> $480,618.40, was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O. C. Jones & Sons, in the amount of <br /> $480,618.40 for the Sunol Boulevard Widening <br /> Improvements, Project No. 885083, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />SeCtion 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract <br /> with O. C. Jones & Sons for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
