Also, that the
extension of the frontage road as it projec
into the adjoining development (Diller-
Granada Properties) that said road be off-
set with the alignment of Martin Avenue.
The Director of Public Works concluded his
remarks by further stating that the above-
mentioned street proposals are desirable to
handle the number of people utilizing the
thoroughfares out to the freeway.
Mr. Robert Pearson, 3590 Churchill Court,
was present and spoke in opposition of this
application. He cited as his reasons the
problems involved with additional traffic,
school situation and the smog and air
pollution problem.
Mr. John Price, 5094 Crestwood Court, spoke
regarding continuances of items on the
agenda. He would like to know if some
method could be devised to keep interested
people notified.
Mr. Rich Cole, 333 Mission Drive, spoke in
opposition of increased density.
The Commissioners had many questions re-
garding the number of recent applications
which are all requesting increased density.
They feel that some directive should be
provided by Council as to higher density
considerations for developments which have
been previously approved under a specific
program.
With this thought in mind, it was moved to
continue this application until November 5,
which would permit the Commission to hold
a study session with City Council to deter-
mine what course the City should follow
regarding the problem of higher densities.
-2-
