M. Thursday, June 16, 1955, at <br />the City Hall. Commissioner Louis Hewitson was absent, <br />The minutes of the last meeting were approved. <br />The following correspondence was read and action takeni <br />City letter to Board of Supervisors, May 13, 1955, re <br />cooperation by County planning 3taffi Filed, <br />Pleasanton Elementary School District re closing Abbi• <br />Street,croasingi Motion carried to obtain traffic count for <br />making recommendation. <br />Valley Water Committee, Livermore: Motion carried <br />appointing Myron Nevis representative for this commission. <br />Mr, R. L. Miller, Esq., Alameda County Planning <br />Commission, and Mr, John J. Thomas, Alameda County Planning <br />Engineer, spoke concerning planning in the Pleasanton Township <br />area, and displayed maps showing studies done by the County <br />Staff to the State. General discussion followed. On motion of <br />Commissioner Brenner, seconded by Commissioner Nevis, Resolution <br />No, 1 was passed recommending to the Board of Supervisorsi <br />1. That the unincorporated area of Pleasanton <br />Township be zoned agricultural. <br />2, That such precise zoning be expedited, <br />3, That the purpose of this recommendation was to <br />protect agricultural lands, allowing for <br />presently existing uses which were not agricultural, <br />while a further study xas made. <br />Mayor Trimingham requested a copy of the Minutes be sent <br />to the City Council, and that request for city action be put in <br />letter form, <br />Respec f iy~, <br />~~+ ~~f <br />~_ A. 3TRVTHERS, J „Secretary <br />
