CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-225 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br /> THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON TO AMEND THE <br /> CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> BY REALIGNING VINEYARD AVENUE AT ITS <br /> INTERSECTION WITH CLARA LANE TO A <br /> STRAIGHTER CONFIGURATION (GP-89-1) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 16, 1989, the City Council <br /> reviewed the request for an amendment to the <br /> Circulation Element of the General Plan by <br /> realigning Vineyard Avenue at its intersection with <br /> Clara Lane to a straighter configuration (GP-89-1); <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative <br /> Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br /> General Plan amendment and adopted Resolution No. <br /> 89-224 approving the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on May 16, <br /> 1989, at which time the public was offered the <br /> opportunity to address the City Council on said <br /> amendment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of the City of <br /> Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element of the <br /> General Plan by realigning Vineyard Avenue at its <br /> intersection with Clara Lane to a straighter <br /> configuration as depicted in Alternative #1 on <br /> Exhibit A of Staff Report 89:124. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council determines that this is one of <br /> the four times in 1989 that the Circulation Element <br /> of the General Plan is amended as authorized by <br /> Government Code §65631. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
