IN THS PLANNINb COMMISSION OS THS CITY OF PLSASANTON <br />COUN'PY OF ALAMSDA, STATS OF CALIFORNIA <br />M I ~ ~ ~ g ~ <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton xaa held at 8:00 P. M. Thursday, November 3, <br />1955• The minutes of the last meeting were approved. <br />The public hearing on application of Arthur Oarroll <br />for a coning variance xaa held. Mr. Carroll Cook appeared to <br />inquire and protect. The applicant was not present. Hearing <br />xaa continued to November lath, 1955 at Si00 P. M. at City Hall. <br />Letter from City of Pleasanton dated November 2nd <br />requesting recommendations on six planning problems xaa read. <br />The secretary was requested to make and mail copies to the <br />members. <br />Commissioners Brenner, Hewitson and Hanifen wer• <br />appointed to meet with the City Finance Committee concerning a <br />recommendation for a secretary for the Planning Commission. Mr. <br />John J. Thomas, Chief Planner of Alwmeda County, spoke conoerning <br />the Pleasanton Township coning recommendations made by the <br />County Commission to the Board of Supervisors. Mr. Thomas then <br />spoke concerning development in general and Tract 16y2 (Park <br />View) in partioular. Mr. Thomas at at ad that the County Planning <br />Commission sought to protect the county, the home buyers and the <br />City of Pleasanton. That whether or not the map of this traot <br />was approved seemed to depend squarely on th• City of Pleasanton <br />to furnish sewer and water, Mr. Thomas stated that if annexation <br />is not required before giving these utilities, there is no future <br />power to require annexation.
