IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF C4LIFORNIA <br />M I N U T E S <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held Thursday, <br />March 15, 1956, at 8;00 P.H., at the City Hall, with Chairman Orloff <br />presiding. ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Garibaldi, Hansen <br />and Nevis. Commissioner Brenner arrived at 8:25 P.M. Absent: Commis- <br />sioners Hanifen and Hewitson. Minutes of March 1st meeting were approved. <br />Mr. Madsen appeared befor a the Planning Commission regarding his <br />request for variance for side yard setbacks. Inasmuch as Mr. Madsen~s <br />lot area does not contain the required 5,000 square feet, as per Ordi- <br />nance No. 241, it was moved by Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Nevis, and approved by all Commissioners present, that consid- <br />eration for set back •arian¢e'be denied. Commissioner Garibaldi sug- <br />gested Mr. Madsen take up the matter with the City Council as a hardship <br />case. <br />Secretary read a letter written to Mr. Thiessen regarding his <br />moving a building to his property on Railroad Avenue and Division Street <br />without obtaining a Use Permit. Mrs. Thiessen was present stating the <br />building had been moved to the property in December with the intention <br />of placing it on their Spring Street property. However, as they are not <br />sure of the location nowt' and the building is not set on a foundation, <br />the Commission agreed to continue hearing until April 19th. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />3-9-56 Wm. Amaral <br />ACTION ON COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Request for rezoning of prpperties <br />at 14 St. Mary Street and 101 St. <br />Mary Street. <br />Secretary was instructed to advise Mr. Amaral to request a variance <br />to the Zoning Ordinance for property at 101 St. Mary Street, stating a <br />specific use. <br />Tentative Map Tract No. 1752, M. G. C. Co. was presented. No action <br />
