IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF C4LIFORNIA M I N U T E S A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held Thursday, March 15, 1956, at 8;00 P.H., at the City Hall, with Chairman Orloff presiding. ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Garibaldi, Hansen and Nevis. Commissioner Brenner arrived at 8:25 P.M. Absent: Commis- sioners Hanifen and Hewitson. Minutes of March 1st meeting were approved. Mr. Madsen appeared befor a the Planning Commission regarding his request for variance for side yard setbacks. Inasmuch as Mr. Madsen~s lot area does not contain the required 5,000 square feet, as per Ordi- nance No. 241, it was moved by Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Com- missioner Nevis, and approved by all Commissioners present, that consid- eration for set back •arian¢e'be denied. Commissioner Garibaldi sug- gested Mr. Madsen take up the matter with the City Council as a hardship case. Secretary read a letter written to Mr. Thiessen regarding his moving a building to his property on Railroad Avenue and Division Street without obtaining a Use Permit. Mrs. Thiessen was present stating the building had been moved to the property in December with the intention of placing it on their Spring Street property. However, as they are not sure of the location nowt' and the building is not set on a foundation, the Commission agreed to continue hearing until April 19th. COMMUNICATIONS: 3-9-56 Wm. A. Amaral ACTION ON COMMUNICATIONS: Request for rezoning of prpperties at 14 St. Mary Street and 101 St. Mary Street. Secretary was instructed to advise Mr. Amaral to request a variance to the Zoning Ordinance for property at 101 St. Mary Street, stating a specific use. Tentative Map Tract No. 1752, M. G. C. Co. was presented. No action
