<br />IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />M I N U T E S <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held Thursday, <br />April 19, 1956, at 8:00 P.M., at the City Hall, with Vice Chairman Brenner <br />presiding. ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Hansen, Nevis, Hanifen <br />and Collier. Absent: Commissioners Garibaldi and Hewitson. <br />Minutes of the regular adjourned meeting of April 4th and a Special <br />meetigg of April 16th were approved as read. <br />Mr. John J. Amaral was present to discuss his request for a change <br />in the zoning of the property at 101 St. Mary Street. Mr. Amaral stated <br />that the present building is too old to remodel and eventually he intends <br />to construct a new building for professional use. The Commission deferred <br />action on the request until Commissioner Garif~aldi is present as he has <br />prepared the zoning maps. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />4-10-56 County Planning Commission Description of tentative recreation <br />plan and notice of hearing <br />ACTION ON COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Commissioner Hanifen, <br />unanimously passed, recommendation to be sent to the County Planning Com- <br />mission that the Pleasanton Ridge (East Side) from Highway 50 at Dublin <br />to the entrance at Kilkare Woods, Sunol, be excluded from the proposed <br />recreation area. Mrs. Collier will represent the Planning Commission at <br />the Public Hearing to be held April 25, 1956. <br />Mr. Thiessen appeared before the Commission to explain his moving <br />a building to his property at 525 Railroad Avenue without first securing <br />a use permit. On motion of Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Co~mnissioner <br />Nevis, and approved by all Commissioners present, recommendation will be <br />sent to the Council that a retroactive use permit be issued to Mr. Thiessen <br />to move a building from the Union Oil Station to his property at 525 <br />Railroad Avenue. <br />
