IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA M I N U T E S A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held Thursday, April 19, 1956, at 8:00 P.M., at the City Hall, with Vice Chairman Brenner presiding. ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Hansen, Nevis, Hanifen and Collier. Absent: Commissioners Garibaldi and Hewitson. Minutes of the regular adjourned meeting of April 4th and a Special meetigg of April 16th were approved as read. Mr. John J. Amaral was present to discuss his request for a change in the zoning of the property at 101 St. Mary Street. Mr. Amaral stated that the present building is too old to remodel and eventually he intends to construct a new building for professional use. The Commission deferred action on the request until Commissioner Garif~aldi is present as he has prepared the zoning maps. COMMUNICATIONS: 4-10-56 County Planning Commission Description of tentative recreation plan and notice of hearing ACTION ON COMMUNICATIONS: Upon motion of Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Commissioner Hanifen, unanimously passed, recommendation to be sent to the County Planning Com- mission that the Pleasanton Ridge (East Side) from Highway 50 at Dublin to the entrance at Kilkare Woods, Sunol, be excluded from the proposed recreation area. Mrs. Collier will represent the Planning Commission at the Public Hearing to be held April 25, 1956. Mr. Thiessen appeared before the Commission to explain his moving a building to his property at 525 Railroad Avenue without first securing a use permit. On motion of Commissioner Hansen, seconded by Co~mnissioner Nevis, and approved by all Commissioners present, recommendation will be sent to the Council that a retroactive use permit be issued to Mr. Thiessen to move a building from the Union Oil Station to his property at 525 Railroad Avenue.
