IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF T'r[E CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />M I N U T E S <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held Thursday, <br />June 21, 1956, at 8:00 P.?4., at the City Hall, with Chairman Hansen <br />presiding. ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Collier, Hanifen, <br />Hewitson and Nevis. <br />Mr. L. Arnold Abrott was sworn in by the City Clerk for a three <br />pear term expiring May 9, 1959. <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 17th, 1956 were read and <br />approved as read. <br />R <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />6-7-56 Kaiser Industries Corporation Stanford Research survey of gravel <br />pits <br />6-9-56 (Copy) Wm. A. Struthers, Jr. Opinion regarding City Contract <br />to City Council with Planning Commissioners and <br />Housing Authority Commissioners <br />5-24-56 Harold F. Wise Associates <br />Proposal for Planning in this area <br />ACTION ON CO*fMUNICATIONS: <br />The Secretary was instructed to ask Mr. Wise to forward additional <br />copies of his proposal in order that each Planning Commissioner might <br />have one. <br />Mr. Geo. Ai. Bolton, of 360 Abbie Street, appeared before the <br />C.-o-nines-+..•~ <br />~j~~ Cauacil to request a variance to the Zoning Ordinance to build a garage <br />17 inches from his property line. The Commission reviewed his sketch <br />and agreed to look at the property prior to the next meeting in an effort <br />to work out a solution whereby a variance would not be required. <br />Tentative ;~fap Tract No. 1815 was presented. Engineer Pestana recom- <br />mended that the minimum lot have a 60 foot frontage and that the lot area <br />should contain 6,000 square feet. '.ie stated that drainage would be major <br />problem since it would solve the drainage problem for the entire area. <br />Commission set the date of July 6th for a work session to determine the <br />amount that should be required of Mr. Andrews for improvement of 1•tinnie <br />Street and drainage facilities.
