PLANNING COMt~QSSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMI:DA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />MINUTES <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order on <br />November 15, 1956, in the City Hall at 8:00 p.m., Chairman Hansen presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present: Commissioners Abrott, Haciifen, Hewitson, llevia and <br />Hansen <br />Absent: Commissioner Collier. <br />The minutes were approved as presented. <br />Correspondence: Announcement of public hearing on Road Petition of <br />W. R. Dutra. <br />Bay Area Planning Comsissioners Conference - Mr. Hansen will contact aqy <br />members interested in attending. <br />Old Business: An ordinance, dealing with the keeping of chickens and rabbits <br />thin the city limits of Pleasanton, will be discussed at the December 20th <br />meeting. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Alameda County Health <br />Department for any information they may have pertinent to this matter. The <br />Commission also asked that a copy of the ordinance Livermore has on this <br />subject be obtained. <br />Several recommendations on the proposed trailer ordinance ' <br />were made and these, with aqY additional data Harold Wise Associates may <br />have, will be discussed at the December 20th meeting. <br />New Business: On November 28th, the Henry J. Kaiser Company renewal for <br />use permit will be heard at the County Court House in Oakland. At that <br />time the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District <br />will ask that the pit, known as the South Koopmann Pit, be used for flood <br />control. On motion of Commissioner Nevis, seconded by Co:mniasioner Hewitson <br />and approved by all Commissioners present, the Commission recommended that <br />the City Council send a representative to the meeting to request that the <br />area be utilized for recreational purposes. <br />On motion of Commissioner Abrott, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hewitson and approved by all Commissioners present, the following recommenda- <br />tions were made to the City Council: <br />b) That all subdivision lots within the present city <br />limits have a 60 foot frontage, 6,000 square feet per <br />lot and a minimum frontage of 40 d'eet on all cul-de-sacs. <br />2) That. all future annexations have 7,000 square feet lot <br />size, a minimum of 60 foot frontage with a minim"TM <br />average width of 70 feet and a minimum frontage of <br />40 feet oa all cul-de-sacs. <br />Chairman Hansen xelcomed the new Commissioner to be - Mr. Wetherby. <br />There will be a xork session November 29, 1956, with a representative of <br />Harold Wise Associates. <br />There being no further busittess to come before the Com*iiasion, the meeting <br />was adjourned at x:40 p.m. to meet again in regular session on December <br />20, 1956, at the City Hall at 8:00 p.m. <br />/ 2'-c~ ~iL.eti~m ~ <br />Secretary <br />
