'' PLANNING COMi~IISSION OF THB CITY OF PL&ASANTON COUNTS[ OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CAL71P~tNIIA MINUTES The meetimY of the 'Planning Commission was called to order at the City Hall on Jamrary 31, 1957, at S:OO p.m., Chairan Hewitson presiding. Boll Call: Present - Co>aiasionera Trowbridge, Wetherby, Wharton and Hewitson. Absent: - Co~i.saioners Abrott and aanifen. The minutes of January 17,.1957 were approved as forwarded. Correspondence: The Commission was invited to attend the East Bay Metropolitan Planning Council on February 8, 1957, at the Claremont Hotel at 6130 p.m. Those commissioners who can attend will notify the Secretary by Wedmmsday, February 6, 1957, so that reservations can be made. The Council asked that a representative of the Commission be present at the work session oa February 4, 1957, to discuss the recommendations oa lot sires and the keeping of rabbits and chicken: within the City Limits of Pleasanton. Several Co~maisaioners plan to attend the meeting. Fabrnary 21, 1957 was set for the public hearing on the proposed Trailer Park. No representative of the Council was present at the County Plann-~ meeting to discuss naing the South Koopman Pit for. recreational purposes. Old Business: Correspondence perta;~ to Tract X1859: Alameda County Health Department have no recommendations to Hake regarding this subdivision. Paei~ic Gas b Electric Company have no gas or electric facilities that will interfere with this developstent. Alameda County Planning Comsdasion had the following recommendations; 1. That a pedestrian way be provided from the north end of Jensen Street to the school property, having a width of 20 feet with a 10 foot paved walkway bordered by 5 foot planting strips on each side to provide an adequate buffer for the adjacent homes. 2. At the intersection of Jensen and Nevin Streets a "heel" should be provided with a radius of 40 feet, or the inside radius of curvature should be increased to a minimum of 50 feet. 3. The future use of the property in the oubdivider~s ownership, labelled "not a part of this subdivision," should be determined; and if proper disposition has _ not already been definitely established, this property should be included in thin subdivision. Mr. Taglor Dom Bddie, representing the School District, re- quested an access way for the School property.
