'' PLANNING COMi~IISSION OF THB CITY OF PL&ASANTON <br />COUNTS[ OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CAL71P~tNIIA <br />MINUTES <br />The meetimY of the 'Planning Commission was called to order at the City Hall <br />on Jamrary 31, 1957, at S:OO p.m., Chairan Hewitson presiding. <br />Boll Call: Present - Co>aiasionera Trowbridge, Wetherby, Wharton and Hewitson. <br />Absent: - Co~i.saioners Abrott and aanifen. <br />The minutes of January 17,.1957 were approved as forwarded. <br />Correspondence: The Commission was invited to attend the East Bay Metropolitan <br />Planning Council on February 8, 1957, at the Claremont Hotel <br />at 6130 p.m. Those commissioners who can attend will notify <br />the Secretary by Wedmmsday, February 6, 1957, so that reservations <br />can be made. <br />The Council asked that a representative of the Commission be <br />present at the work session oa February 4, 1957, to discuss <br />the recommendations oa lot sires and the keeping of rabbits <br />and chicken: within the City Limits of Pleasanton. Several <br />Co~maisaioners plan to attend the meeting. <br />Fabrnary 21, 1957 was set for the public hearing on the <br />proposed Trailer Park. <br />No representative of the Council was present at the <br />County Plann-~ meeting to discuss naing the South Koopman <br />Pit for. recreational purposes. <br />Old Business: Correspondence perta;~ to Tract X1859: <br />Alameda County Health Department have no recommendations to <br />Hake regarding this subdivision. <br />Paei~ic Gas b Electric Company have no gas or electric <br />facilities that will interfere with this developstent. <br />Alameda County Planning Comsdasion had the following <br />recommendations; <br />1. That a pedestrian way be provided from the north <br />end of Jensen Street to the school property, having <br />a width of 20 feet with a 10 foot paved walkway <br />bordered by 5 foot planting strips on each side to <br />provide an adequate buffer for the adjacent homes. <br />2. At the intersection of Jensen and Nevin Streets a <br />"heel" should be provided with a radius of 40 feet, <br />or the inside radius of curvature should be increased <br />to a minimum of 50 feet. <br />3. The future use of the property in the oubdivider~s <br />ownership, labelled "not a part of this subdivision," <br />should be determined; and if proper disposition has _ <br />not already been definitely established, this property <br />should be included in thin subdivision. <br />Mr. Taglor Dom Bddie, representing the School District, re- <br />quested an access way for the School property. <br />
