<br />motion of Commissioner Iiharton~ seconded by Commissioner Yetherby. <br />CORRESPONDENCS: Resolution No. 2685 of the City Councils appointing Paul DeVor <br />as a member of the City Planning Commission to serve the unexpired term of <br />Arnold Abrott was read. Mr. Abrott~a term expires May 9~ 1959. <br />Notice from the Alameda County Planning Commisaion~ of a Public Hearing on the <br />application of the Niles Sand ~ Gravel Co. lnc• for a sand and gravel pit per- <br />mit on property loaNtted on the south aide of the Pleasanton»Livermore Road was <br />read. The secretary was directed to send a letter to the County Planning Com- <br />ission objecting to the granting of such a permit. Commissioner Wetherby will <br />attend the meeting and will read a copy of the letter to the Commission. <br />A letter advising of a public Leering held this date by the County Planning Com- <br />mission on the Master Plan for Alameda County was read. <br />Pacific Planning f~ Researchts request for an amendment to the Planning Services <br />contracts dated September 5~ 1957 xaa read and discussed. The Co®.isaioners <br />stated that they had no objections to the proposed changes. <br />The proposed Pleasanton Zoning Ordinance wan outlined by Mr. Rugg a~ the addittr~ <br />ion of an item titled "Exclusive Zoning" to the section •Needed Policies waa not- <br />ed. After further discusaion~ October 3rd waa set as a work session for the Cos- <br />miasion to make a more detailed study of the ordinance. There findings will be <br />interpreted at the next meeting of October 10th. <br />There being no further business to come before the Cosmission the meeting was ad- <br />journed at 10:40 P.M. to meet again on Thursdays October 10~ at BP.M. at City Hall. <br />Secretary <br />
