PLANNING COB@lISSION OF TlB3 CI17 OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAM&DA, 3TATS OF CALIFORNIA <br />MINUTB3 <br />The meeting of the City Planning Commission was called to order at the City Hall <br />on October 10~ 1957 at 8:05 P.M.~ Acting Chairman Wetherby presiding. <br />Roll Call; Preaentj Co~issionera DeVor, Hartle, Hanifen and Wetherby <br />Absent: Cosoiaaionera Oases, Trowbridge a:d Wharton <br />The Minutes of September 26, 1957 were approved as forwarded on motion of Coaseisr <br />inner Wetherby, aecoaded by Cos®isaioaer Nartle. <br />Acting Chairman Wetherby stated that inasmuch as the full Conaission was not pres- <br />ent the selection of a Chairman and Vice-Chairman would be postponed. <br />Although Mrs. Vallarino wss not present to request changes in the Conditional Zon- <br />ing Permit granted to her for the coastructioa of an additional building on her <br />property at 248 Vineyard Acting Chairsaa Wetherby discussed the matter and stated <br />that in ~{fa opinion the conditions under which the permit was originally granted <br />should stands i.e. that she sot be allowed to rent or lease the old structure. The <br />other Cemiasioaera concurred in this opinion. <br />Cossiasioner Wetherby reported on the County Planning Cosadasion meeting he had att- <br />ended during which the hearing was held on Niles Sand fi Gravel Co,•s application <br />for a sand and gravel permit on property located at the south side of the Pleasanton <br />Livermore Road. He stated that as the conpaq>>s gagineera had not completed their <br />study and were sot certaia that the operation would be feasible they had been grant- <br />ed a continuance until October 23, 1937. <br />The Coaltisaionera than discussed the Proposed Pleasanton Zoning Ordinance. Acting <br />Chairman Wetherby stated that he felt the setback requireaeute in RL zones should <br />be 20~ rather than 2Sa. Mr. Leonardo, of Leonardo Bros., agreed with this and ao <br />Mr. Rugg, Planning Consultants noted the requested change. A dissuasion followed <br />on the advisability of restricting the qW-+S district to only one story rather than <br />allowing oail,or two. The Cosssiaaionera commented on the <br />1-4 ratio K dwellings to parking spaces in~the RWi district, changing same to 1-2~t`w~uuq~ <br />After additional discourse on sdafenr distance between residential structures and t`''~`°<< <br />architectural approval for non-raaideatial buildings the Coaiasionera decided to <br />postpom further discussion of fire proposed ordinance until the next meeting. <br />There being no further business to core before the Coas~iaaion the meeting was adjour- <br />ned at 9:20 P.M. to meet a~uin oa October 17, 1937 at 8 P.M. at the Ciri Hall_ <br />~,~ <br />secretary <br />
