PLANNING CCMMISSICN OF TAE CITY OF PLEASANTCN <br />COUNTY OF AIAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Meeting oY May 1, 1958 <br />The meeting oY the City Planning Commission wsa called to order at the City Hall on <br />May 1, 1958, Vice-Chairman HaniYen presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present ~ Commissioners DeVOr, Lozano, Mitchell, Trowbridge, Wharton <br />Absent - Chairman Wetherby <br />On motion oY Commissioner Trowbridge, seconded by Commissioner DeVir 8 ~approiidlby <br />all Commissioners present, the minutes of the meeting oY April 3, 95 P 7~ <br />1958wlre approved as corrected. <br />The Conditional Zoning Permit oY the Church oY Christ was considered prior to the <br />automatic six-month extension oY the permit. Mr. W. N. Davis, representing the Church <br />oP Christ, was present and stated that they have made plans Yor the purchase oY land <br />on the Pleasanton-Sunol Road and construction would be started as soon as possible. <br />There were no written or oral complaints. On motion oY Commissioner Wharton, seconded <br />by Commissioner DeVor and approved by sll Commissioners present, a public hearing was <br />waived and the automatic extension oY six months was granted to the Church oY Christ. <br />The application oY Joe Perasso, 58 Ray Street, for a Conditional Zoning Permit to recon- <br />vert an existing building to a 4-room apartment for rental purposes was considered. <br />Mr. Perasso was present and spoke concerning his proposed building pleas. He stated <br />that the building was to be used Yor storage only and not as a dwelling Yor rental <br />purposes as stated on his application Yor the permit". In view oY this, the application <br />~~ <br />we.s amended to read intended use to be storage building and not Por human occupancy. <br />Storage has been use Yor last eleven years". On motion oY Commissioner Trowbridge, <br />seconded by Commissioner Mitchell and approved by all Coimnis~idners present, a Condi- <br />tional Zoning Permit was not required in this matter as there has been no change in <br />the existing use of storage during the past eleven years. <br />Thp application Yor a Conditional Zoning Permit by James F. Coates and Daisy M. Coates <br />to change an apartment court use at 611 Railroad Avenue to a motel court use was <br />considered. On motion oY Commissioner Mitchell, seconded by Commissioner DeVor and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, a public hearing will be held on this matter <br />on May 15, 1958• <br />Mr. Robert SteYYanauer, representing the Wagon Wheel, presented an oral complaint to <br />the automatic renewal Yor a period oY six months oY the Church oY Chriat`a Conditional <br />Zoning Permit. The Commissioners advised Mr. SteYYanauer on the procedure in appealing <br />to the City Council as they indicated their decision on the automatic extension oY the <br />Conditional Zoning Permit Yor the Church oY Christ had already been made.; <br />As there was no flilrther business to come before the Commission, the meeting was ~ <br />adjourned at 9:30 P.M. to meet again in regular adjourned session on Thursday, May 15, <br />1958 at 8:0o P.M. <br />Secretary <br />
