CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-218 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> GALTAGHER & BURK, INC., FOR THE SANTA <br /> RITA ROAD RIGHT TURN LANE AT WEST LAS <br /> POSITAS BOULEVARD, PROJECT NO. 885088 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> the Santa Rita Road Right Turn Lane at West Las <br /> Positas Boulevard, Project No. 885088; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> May 16, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $61,799.50 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc. <br /> be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $61,799.50, for santa Rita Road Right Turn Lane <br /> at West Las Positas Boulevard, Project No. 885088, <br /> is hereby accepted by the City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract <br /> with Gallagher & Burk, Inc. for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the transfer of $20,600.00 from NPID <br /> No. 1 to the Santa Rita Road Right Turn Lane at <br /> West Las Positas Boulevard, Project No. 885088. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
