IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLr:ASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />MINUTES <br />Meeting of November 26, 1958 <br />The meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Commission was called to order at City Hall on <br />November 26, 1958, Chairman Wetherby presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Commissioners Allison, DeVor, Hanifen and Lozano. <br />Absent -Commissioners Mitchell and Wharton. <br />On motion of Commissioners Hanifen, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all <br />Commissioners present, the minutes of the meetings of November 6 and 20, 1958 were <br />approved as corrected. <br />A letter from the San Francisco Water. Department naming their members of the Joint <br />Pleasanton-San Francisco Industrial Park Committee was presented. <br />The application of Juanita O'dea for a Conditional Zoning Permit to operate a hobby ceramic <br />business at 109 St. Mary Street was deferred for Isck of information until December 4, 1958 <br />on motion of Commissioner DeVor, seconded by Commissioners Wetherby and approved by all <br />Commissioners present. The Secretary will notify Mrs. O'dea to be present at this meeting <br />to further explain her application and proposal. <br />The application of A. H. Johnson and W. A. Eaton for a Conditional Zoning Permit to develop <br />a food market at 145 Main Street was considered. Mr. A. H. Johnson was present and explained <br />the proposal. On motion of Commissioner DeVor, seconded by Commissioner Wetherby and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, no public hearing was deemed necessary in the public <br />interest in this matter. On motion of Commissioners Wetherby, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hanifen and approved by all Commissioners present, the Conditional Zoning Permit was granted <br />under the following conditions: Sketch to be resubmitted to scale and in duplicate; signature <br />and date included; direction, street address, building height, width oP entrance and exit <br />driveways, driveway entrance and general pavement specifications to be included; type of <br />building to be indicated. ~'~ <br />A letter from the Alameda County Planning Commission referring the Tentative Record of Survey <br />request of Edwin W. Carter to the Planning Commission for their study and recommendation <br />was presented. This property is located on Foothill Road off Bernal Avenue. Mr. Christen <br />presented a report on this request. After discussion of the eater and sewage problems and <br />the possible pollution of the water supply of the Pleasanton area and on motion of Commissioner <br />HeVor, seconded by Commissioner Hanifen and approved by all Commissioners present, a letter <br />will be directed to the County Planning Commission stating that the Pleasanton Planning <br />Commission has no objection to this request provided that a pzbl,ic sewage system and a public <br />water system are provided for this property. <br />Mr. Christen stated that Roy Jensen would be present at the meeting of December 4_, 1958 <br />to discuss his proposed plans for the extension of his tract at the north end of the City. <br />As there was no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 10:15 P.M. to December 4, 1958 at 8:00 P.M. <br />Secre ary <br />
