IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PhEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA - STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />September 17, 1959 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Commission was called to order <br />at the City $all on the above date at 8 p.m. with Commissioner Mitchell presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Commissioners Allison, Landon, Lozano and Mitchell.' <br />Absent -Commissioners Hanifen and De Vor. <br />On motion of Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by all <br />Commissioners present the minutes of September 3, 1959 were approved as read. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 70, application for Conditional Zoning permit by Stuchlik's & Erickson on <br />behalf of Mrs. Anna Brown to construct a six unit apartment on South Division Street adja- <br />cent to the Western Pacific Railroad according to plot plan submitted was denied on motion <br />of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners <br />present because of too high density on the ratio of R-1 zoning. The applicants were <br />informed of their right to appeal to the City Council. No public hearing deemed necessary. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 71, granting the Conditional Zoning Permit to Rita de Ponte to park a trail- <br />er at 540 W. Division Street to be used as living quarters from this date, September 17, 1959 <br />to June 1, 1961, as a hardship case, and that no public hearing be deemed necessary was <br />adopted on motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Tendon and approved by <br />all Commissioners present. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72, granting the Conditional Zoning Permit to Alfred J. Avilla to construct <br />a carport on existing structure at 991 Rose Avenue according to plot plan submitted, with <br />5 ft. yard setback and that no public hearing deemed necessary was adopted on motion of <br />Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners <br />present. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 73, granting the Conditional Zoning Permit to Victor L. Lund, Sr. to construct <br />a carport to extend in line with existing garage on Abbey Street, residence at 4698 Second <br />Street,with a 2 ~1 side yard setback was adopted on motion of Commissioner Tendon, seconded <br />by Commissioner~aHdla$nproved by all Commissioners present. A public hearing was deemed un- <br />necessary. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 74, granting the Conditional Zoning Permit to Lee Luce, to operate a Barber <br />Shop at 444 Main Street, and that no public hearing deemed necessary, was adopted on mo- <br />tion of Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners <br />present. <br />Commissioner Mitchell read the report submitted by the City Engineer to the City Administrator <br />and Planning Commission on the Alameda County Righway Master Plan by Wilbur Smith & Associ- <br />ates, and a discussion followed. The Secretary was instructed to write a letter to the <br />City Council recommending that an additional street be added to connect Adams Court with <br />Mirador Drive and not more than 1000 ft. east of Mirador Drive, 80 Ft. right of way be <br />reserved for future connection with Valley Avenue on the north and Happy Valley on the <br />soutki. Also, that the City Engineers proposal be accepted with the above recommendations. <br />City Attorney advised the Planning Commission of the appeal of Wanda Glaser to construct <br />2-2 bedroom duplexes and 1-3 bedroom house at southwest corner of Rose Avenue and Western <br />Pacific right of way. <br />City Attorney briefed the 1y59 Izgislative Bills on or Related to Planning, to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />The regular planning meetings for the next four meetings have been changed as follows so <br />all the Commissioners can enroll in the University Extension course, Planning For Community <br />Improvement 801 at Livermore Joint Union High School, September 24 to November 12, 1959; <br />7:30 to 9:30 p.m.;$15.0o fee per Commissioner to be paid by the City. Dates as follows: <br />October 1st meeting date changed to October 7th; October 15th meeting date changed to October <br />21st; November 5th meeting date changed to November 4th; <br />Pi~iK. Absent Commissioner Hanifen to be advised of the above. <br /> <br />
