SN T2~ PLAN2dTNG C02'1NiISSIOPI OF TI:F CITY OF PLEASANTOPI <br />COUNTY OP ALAP~DA - STATE OF CALIFORPIIA <br />Minutes <br />Pray 14, 1959 <br />The meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Conmiission was called to order at the City Ball on <br />May 14, 1958, at 8 o'clock, Vice-Chairman Iianifen presiding. <br />itol.l Call: Present - Commissioners Allison, De Vor, Hanifen, Lozano. <br />Absent - Corrunissioners Mitchell and Fletherby <br />The request for a conditional Zoning Permit from Lawrence E. Brooks, Jr., D.D.S. to remodel <br />existing building on 21 Spring Street for the practice of dentistry, was considered. islrs. <br />Brooks represented Dr. Brooks before the Commission. RESOLUTIOPd N0. 58 granting Conditional Zon <br />ing Permit to Iawrence s. Brooks, D.D.S. was moved for adoption by Commissioner DeVor, seconded <br />by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners present; upon the following conditions. <br />1. That no public hearing is deemed necessary in the public interest in this matter. <br />2. That the Planning Commission finds the conditions of Section 2.22 of Ordinance 293 <br />pertaining to Residential Uses have been met. <br />3. That access to the off-street parking in the rear of the lot be at all times main- <br />tained on both sides of the building. <br />4. Off-street parking for five (5) cars be provided in the rear of the lot. <br />5. Driveways and parking area to be suitably surfaced with black-top. <br />RESOLUTIOPI ~j'S9 recommending Street ;Same changes to the City Council was adopted on motion of <br />Commissioner DeVor, seconded by Commissioner Allison and approved by all Commissioners present, <br />with the recommendations as follows: <br />1. That portion of Jensen Street running in northerly and southerly direction be pro- <br />vided with a new name at the consultation with the Pleasanton Development Corporation <br />so as to continue an orderly street name pattern in that area. <br />2. That portion of Division Street lying between First and Second Street be changed to <br />Arendt Way. <br />3. That portion of East Division Street lying between Railroad Avenue and i~oin Street <br />be changed to Division Street. <br />4-. The balance of Division Street lying west of Main Street be also known as Division <br />Street and not Glest Division Street. <br />5. That portion of Abbie Street lying between the Southern Pacific Railroad and bin <br />Street be changed to Bernal Avenue <br />6. That the portion of East Angela Street from Plain Street easterly to Southern Pacific <br />Railroad be named Slest Angela and the portion of Angela Street westerly to the Southern Pacific <br />Railroad be designated 9Gast Angela Street. <br />7. `1^hat the portion of P1ea1 Street extending westerly from the Southern Pacific Rail- <br />road to P~Iain Street be renamed Rose Avenue. <br />8. That the portion of Spring Street easterly from the Southern Pacific Railroad to <br />Second Street be renamed Kottinger Avenue. <br />9. 'T'hat the portion of Ray Street extending from the outhern Pacific Railroad easterly <br />to First Street be renamed Vineyard Avenue. <br />The Planning Commission also discussed theproposed renaming of Pleasanton-Livermore Road <br />in conjunction with the County of Alameda and City of Livermore. They referred IG~iser Avenue <br />and Stanley Avenue to the numbering System Consultants. <br />`I`he City Administrator presented a letter from the Alameda County Planning Commission regard- <br />ing the request of Alattie J.
