IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA - STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />December 17, 1959 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Commission was called <br />to order at the City Hall on December 17, 1959 at 8:10 P.M. Chairman Hanifen presid- <br />ing. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Landon, Lozano, Mitchell* and Chairman Hanifen <br />Absent -Commissioner Allison <br />* Commissioner Mitchell arrived et 8:15 P.M. <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Hanifen, and approved <br />by all present, the minutes of December 3, 1959 were approved as forwarded by the <br />Secretary. <br />Mr. Art Hilikier of the Dublin Realty Company came before the Commission with <br />maps concerning the referral for the Alameda County Planning Commission regarding <br />C. E. Winter's application to rezone a parcel of approximately 5 acres fronting on <br />the northerly side of Dublin Boulevard and opposite Hopysrd Road. Mr. Hilikier <br />stated that he has received 15 favorable letters out of the 20 property owners con- <br />cerned in this proposed rezoning. Mr. Hilikier also stated that this area will not <br />be subdivided but will be restricted for light industry only. It wen also pointed <br />out that this area does lack utilities. Chairman Hanifen suggested that the Planning <br />Commission forward a letter to the Alameda County Planning Commission stating that <br />Pleasanton was in favor of the Commission looking further into this matter and con- <br />sider rezoning the whole area for industry with light standards, such as setbacks, <br />height of buildings, etc. All other Commissioners present were in favor of sending <br />such a letter. <br />The application oP Juanita O'Dea for a Conditional Zoning Permit to relocate <br />her presently located Ceramic Shop at 1000 Main Street to 818 Main Street was then <br />brought before the Commission for consideration. The Commissioners present sax no <br />reason in not granting this relocation, and on motion of Commissioner Mitchell, <br />seconded by Commissioner Iandon, and approved by all Commissioners present, RESOLUTION <br />No. 83, approving the Conditional Zoning Permit under the following conditions, was <br />passed: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 83 <br />Granting Conditional Zoning Permit on Application of Juanita O'Dea, 818 Main Street, <br />Pleasanton, California, Piled December 15, 1959, for commercial use. <br />The above described application, having been duly considered, pursuant to <br />Ordinance No. 293, of the City of Pleasanton, and good cause appearing; <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Planning Commission does hereby resolve as follows: <br />1) That no public hearing is deemed necessary in the public interest in this <br />matter. <br />2) That the Planning Commission finds the conditions of Section 2.22 of Ordin- <br />ance No. 293 pertaining to commercial uses have been met. <br />3) That a CONDITIONAL ZONING PERMIT is hereby granted for a period of six (6) <br />months, effective this date, subject to the following condition: <br />s) No sign should extend beyond the property line. <br />4) That the Secretary is hereby instructed to forward copies of this Resolution <br />to the applicant, city officers and any other interested parties. <br />
