IN THE PL4NNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF AIAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />September 15, 1960 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />at the City Hall on September 15, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. with Chairman Ralph Mitchell pre- <br />siding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Landon, Lozano and Mitchell <br />Absent - Commissioners Allison and Hanifen <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved <br />by all Commissioners present the minutes of August 18, 1960 were approved as corrected. <br />Frank Viada came before the Commission with his application for a 5' Variance <br />from sideyard requirements to allow construction of a carport at 41+08 First Street. <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved <br />by all Commissioners present RESOLUTION N0. 121 was granted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 121 <br />Whereas, the application of Frank Viada for a 5' Variance from sideyard require- <br />ments to allow construction of a carport at 4408 First Street, having come before <br />this Commission September 15, 1960, under Ordinance #309 (Zoning Ordinance) as amended, <br />the Planning Commission does hereby Resolve as follows: <br />1. The Planning Commission does find as follows: <br />a) Notice has been given as required by law. <br />b) The circumstances required by section 19.1003 of said Ordinance X309 <br />do exist. <br />2. A 4' Variance is hereby granted, subject to the following Conditions: <br />a) Must meet Building Code <br />3. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />Daniel Pons then came before the Planning Commission with his request for <br />Annexation of Lots Number 10 and 13, lying between Stanley Boulevard and Vervais <br />Avenue. <br />On Motion of Commission Iandon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved <br />by all Commissioners present, the Commission voted to recommend to the City Council <br />the following conditions on the above mentioned annexation: <br />1. Zoning be C-T <br />2. The lot facing Vervais Avenue to have no access from Vervais Avenue due <br />to the proposed commercial use of the property, which would create difficult <br />traffic problems on Vervais Avenue. <br />Alternate methods of guaranteeing no access to this property include: <br />a. Dedication to the City of 1' of the applicants property fronting on <br />Vervais Avenue. <br />b. Dedication the City of 20' of applicants property fronting on Vervais <br />Avenue for future street reconstruction and widening of Vervais Avenue <br />to a standard 50' city street. <br />c. A barrier located on the applicants property which would prevent access <br />from Vervais Avenue. <br />3. That curbs, gutters, and sidewallcs be installed on that portion of the property <br />
