IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />January 5, 1961 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called <br />to order at the City Hall on January 5, 1961 at 8:05 P.M. with Chairman <br />Ralph Mitchell presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, Hanifen, Landon and Lozano. <br />Abaent -None <br />The four new ex-oYPicio members of the Planning Commission, Mr. Everett King, <br />Mr. Everett Kamp, Mr. WilYred Aohn and Mr. Robert Dana, were sworn in by the Deputy <br />City Clerk. <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved <br />by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of December 15, 1960 were approved as forwarded. <br />Public Hearing was then held on motion of the Planning Commission to zone certain <br />property on Vineyard Avenue Yrom R-1 to R-G. Mr. Fales read a report on the rezoning <br />and gave the recommendations of the staff. After much discussion, the Planning Commis- <br />sion agreed with the recommendations of the staff, and the Public Hearing was declared <br />closed. On motion oY Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Hanifen, and ap- <br />proved by all Commissioners present, Resolution No. 126 was adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 126 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Mr. J. Vallarino, dated November 1, 1960, for <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to wit, to rezone certain land R-1 to R-G was <br />duly filed, noticed and considered; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission by its own motion and with consent oP said <br />applicant did expand the study a larger area for possible rezoning; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Hearing was duly noticed, hearing held and good cause appearing; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the CityCouncil that the <br />Zoning Ordinance No. 309, effective July 1, 1960, be amended to include the following <br />zoning district changes, as established by Zoning Ordinance Map dated April 18, 1960, <br />to wit, <br />a. From R-1 to RG-15, an area of approximately seven and one-half acres as shown <br />on Book 94, Page 90 of the Assessor's Block Book, County of Alameda, as corrected June <br />21, 1956, surrounded by the following boundaries: on the north by the Arroyo del Valle, <br />(City Limits), on the west by First Street, on the South by Vineyard Avenue and on the <br />east by a line drawn from south to north along the nearest property line to a point <br />which is fixed by a measurement of 750' east of the intersection of First Street and <br />Vineyard Avenue. <br />b. From R-1 to RG-25, an area of approximately twenty acres as shown on Book 94, <br />Page 80, of the Assessor's Block Book, County of Alameda, (Map filed March 5, 1885 as <br />corrected June 21, 1956) and is surrounded by the Arroyo del Valle on the north, on the <br />west a line drawn from south to north Prom a point 750' east of First and Vineyard Avenue <br />on the south bg Vineyard Avenue and on the east by the east City Limits. <br />The Secretary is hereby instructed to send all records re[}uired by Section 22.106 <br />to the City Council. <br />--- __ _ __- _ _ __.. __ _ _ r __ <br />
