IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Minutes January 19, 1961 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at the City Hall on January 19, 1961 at 8:00 P.M. with Vice-Chairman Philip Lyndon presiding. ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, Lozano and Ex-officio Com- missioner Dana. Absent - Commissioners Hanifen, Mitchell and Ex-officio Commissioners Hohn, Kamp and King. On motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Allison, and approved by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of January 5, 1961 were approved as forwarded. Public Hearing was then held on Application of Stover & Bullard for a Variance, consisting of a 15` set back for a larger back yard on lot 6, Block 5 of Tract 2007. On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commti.ssioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners present, RESOLUTION N0. 127 was adopted. RESOLUTION N0. 127 WHEREAS, the Application of Stover & Bu]ard, P. 0. Box 253, Pleasanton, California, for a Variance consisting of a 15' front yard set back for a larger back yard, on Lot 6 Block 5 of Tract 2007, having come before this Commission January 19, 1961, under Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) as amended, the Planning Commissoh does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The Planning Commission does find as follows: a) Notice has been given as required by law b) The Circumstances required by section 19.100 of said Ordinance No. 309 do exist. 2. A 15' front yard set back is hereby granted. 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be senttn interested parties. Public Hearing date Re; Application of Robert and Msrilyn Athenour for a Variance allowing a 60' frontage where the minimum frontage is 70', was set for February 2, 1961. Public Hearing Date Re: Application of Oswald K. Hoglund for a Variance of 12 feet from the required 22 feet in height, for a fence within the front yard set back, was set for February 2, 1961. Public Hearing Date Re: Application of Richard R. Youag for a Conditional Use Permit, under Article 16, Section No. 16.2-2, allowing the enlargement of an existing non-conforming use, such uae being a house trailer, located on vacant property to the rear of 420 Main Street, was set for February 2, 1961. Nr. James Trimingham then came before the Commission with an application from the County of Alameda for a 22' variance to plant a 5' hedge along the Alameda County Fair Grounds fence on Rose Avenue, between Pleasanton avenue and Fair Street. The Planning Commission set February 2, 1961 for a Public Hearing on the matter. Mr. Fales read a communication from Mr. John Stanley, which stated that Mr. Stanley would like to annex certain property on the South side of Vineyard Avenue east oP the current City boundary, consisting of about three acres, to build Garden Apartments. The Planning Commission set January 21, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. to take a field trip and visit the site. This item will be put on the next agenda.
