IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />January 19, 1961 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called <br />to order at the City Hall on January 19, 1961 at 8:00 P.M. with Vice-Chairman <br />Philip Lyndon presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, Lozano and Ex-officio Com- <br />missioner Dana. <br />Absent - Commissioners Hanifen, Mitchell and Ex-officio <br />Commissioners Hohn, Kamp and King. <br />On motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Allison, and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of January 5, 1961 were <br />approved as forwarded. <br />Public Hearing was then held on Application of Stover & Bullard for a <br />Variance, consisting of a 15` set back for a larger back yard on lot 6, Block <br />5 of Tract 2007. On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commti.ssioner <br />Lozano and approved by all Commissioners present, RESOLUTION N0. 127 was adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 127 <br />WHEREAS, the Application of Stover & Bu]ard, P. 0. Box 253, Pleasanton, <br />California, for a Variance consisting of a 15' front yard set back for a larger <br />back yard, on Lot 6 Block 5 of Tract 2007, having come before this Commission <br />January 19, 1961, under Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) as amended, the <br />Planning Commissoh does hereby resolve as follows: <br />1. The Planning Commission does find as follows: <br />a) Notice has been given as required by law <br />b) The Circumstances required by section 19.100 of said Ordinance <br />No. 309 do exist. <br />2. A 15' front yard set back is hereby granted. <br />3. A copy of this Resolution shall be senttn interested parties. <br />Public Hearing date Re; Application of Robert and Msrilyn Athenour for <br />a Variance allowing a 60' frontage where the minimum frontage is 70', was set <br />for February 2, 1961. <br />Public Hearing Date Re: Application of Oswald K. Hoglund for a Variance <br />of 12 feet from the required 22 feet in height, for a fence within the front <br />yard set back, was set for February 2, 1961. <br />Public Hearing Date Re: Application of Richard R. Youag for a Conditional <br />Use Permit, under Article 16, Section No. 16.2-2, allowing the enlargement of an <br />existing non-conforming use, such uae being a house trailer, located on vacant <br />property to the rear of 420 Main Street, was set for February 2, 1961. <br />Nr. James Trimingham then came before the Commission with an application <br />from the County of Alameda for a 22' variance to plant a 5' hedge along the <br />Alameda County Fair Grounds fence on Rose Avenue, between Pleasanton avenue and <br />Fair Street. The Planning Commission set February 2, 1961 for a Public Hearing <br />on the matter. <br />Mr. Fales read a communication from Mr. John Stanley, which stated that Mr. <br />Stanley would like to annex certain property on the South side of Vineyard Avenue <br />east oP the current City boundary, consisting of about three acres, to build <br />Garden Apartments. The Planning Commission set January 21, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. <br />to take a field trip and visit the site. This item will be put on the next agenda. <br />
