IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY CF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />MINUTES <br />September 21, 1961 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />by the Chairman Ralph Mitchell, at 8:00 P.M., on the above date. <br />ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Antonini, London, Rega hnd Mitchell. <br />Ex-offico Commissioner Dana <br />Absent: Commissioner Lozano <br />Ex-officio Commissioners Hohn, Kamp and King <br />On motion of Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and ap- <br />proved by all Commissioners present the Minutes of August 17, 1961 were approved <br />ae forwarded. <br />Mr. F. Arlt came before the Commission with his application for a Variance to <br />construct a carport at 4635 Whiting Street, Pleasanton, California. On motion of <br />Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and approved by all com- <br />missioners present RESOLUTION N0. 157 was adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 157 <br />Whereas. the application of Fred Arlt, for a Varinace from the aideysrd re- <br />quirements of Section 6.5, Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a carport at <br />4636 Whiting Street, in an R-1 District, having come before this Commission June 1, <br />1961, under Ordinance, No. 309, Zoning Ordinance, as amended, the Plsnning Commission <br />does hereby reaglve as follows; <br />1. The Planning Commission does find as follows; <br />a. Notice has been given as required by law. <br />b. The Circumstances required by Section 19.1003 of said Ordinance do <br />exist. <br />2. The Variance is hereby granted. <br />3. A copy of thin Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commlasioner Antonini, and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, October 5, 1961 was net as Public Hearing <br />I~te Por Hugh H. Handly, for a variance of 1~ feet from Section 18.603, Ordinance <br />No. 309, in order to construct a fence in the sideyard, corner lot, at 4426 Linda Way, <br />in an R-1 District. <br />Secretary Falea read a letter Prom Mr. Mocine concerning the Planning Course <br />to be given in Pleasanton in the fall. <br />Secretary Falea also read a letter from the Association of Home Builders <br />regarding residential development. <br />Secretary Fales stated he would like to reproduce some legiAatlve material <br />to present to the Commission in the near future. <br />3ecrettry Falea announced the next meeting of the Industrial Park Committee <br />to be held October 20, 1961. <br />Discussion was held on a through street from Mirador to Vineyard Avenue. <br />Commission agreed that it should be conaideredsoon before the development in the <br />Heights has been completed. <br />The City Englneer was instructed to study the matter rixrther. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, same was ad,journec <br />to meet again October 5, 1961, at B:OOP.M. <br />Secretary <br />
