IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />MINUTES <br />November 16, 1961 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of L-he Planning Commission was called to <br />order by the Chairman Ralph Mitchell, at 8:00 p.m., on the above date. <br />ROLL CALL showed present: Commissioners Antonini, Landon and Rega. Ex- <br />Officio Commissioners Dana and Hohn arriving at 8:35 p.m. Absent: Commissioner <br />Loazno. Ex-Officio Commissioners Kamp and King. <br />On motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner Tendon and approved <br />by all Commissioners present the Minutes of October 19, 1961 were approved as <br />forwarded. <br />Secretary Falca lnformcd the Commission of the Conference on November 28, <br />1961 at the Claremont Hotel, on Condominium. <br />Mr. Potvin was present in the audience and wished an unofficial opinion <br />as to whether he could extend his trailer court on Rose Avenue. Since the <br />procedure is so complicated, involving three or more decisions by the Commission, <br />Secretary Fales eve a preliminary opinion as to shat th. S:.ai would recommend in <br />this particular case Discussion was held. Commissioner R`.,ga was excusad at 9:00 <br />P.M. The Commission agreed to give the matter flarther thought and study, until <br />such time as Mr. Potvin o~ficially applies fora permit. <br />Commissioner Landon suggested a new Goal for the General Plan as follows: <br />Development wi:,hin the residential zones or planned unit development, in the <br />City of Pleasanton., should be such as to encourage a variety of housing needs, so <br />as to reduce scgrcgatianoF age groups, etc. Commissioner Landon would like the <br />Commission to think about same. <br />Public Hearing was set for Doc. 7, 1961 for the Proposed Amendments of <br />Ordinance 309, Zoning Ordinance, regarding Blast and Fallout Shelters, do <br />Motion of Commissioner Iandon, seconded by Commissioner Mitchell and approved <br />by all Commissionexspresent. <br />Secretary Fales recommended setting a Study Session on November 30th <br />for the Capital Improvement Budget. So ordered. <br />On motion oi' Commissioner Mitchell, seconded b~ Commissioner Landon and <br />approved by all Commnissioners present the meeting was adjourned at y:45 P.M. <br />to meeL-again on December 7, 1961 at 8:00 P.M. <br />Secretary <br /> <br />
