CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-207 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH G. <br /> MICHAEL GOLDSWORTHY FOR REMODELING <br /> OLD LIBRARY FACILITY FOR USE AS A <br /> PRESCHOOL CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has accepted ownership of the old library <br /> building and has assigned its use to the Parks and <br /> Community Services department for use as a <br /> preschool facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from Mr. <br /> Goldsworthy for consultant services to convert the <br /> facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Community Services <br /> presented a report (SR 89:204) to the Council <br /> setting forth in detail the proposed remodeling and <br /> costs involved; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the selection of G. Michael Goldsworthy <br /> to provide design studies and construction <br /> documents for the preschool facility for $25,000, <br /> as per the proposal submitted January 19, 1989, <br /> utilizing the bid design/build option, conditional <br /> upon Council review and approval of a standard City <br /> contract. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes appropriation of $200,000, which <br /> includes $25,000 for architectural services, for <br /> the project from either the General Fund or the <br /> Park Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
