M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PL4NNING COMt~IISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />T`'~y 3, 1962 <br />The regu]arly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 3, 1962, by Vice-Chairman Philip Tendon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Vice-Chairman Landon <br />Commissioners Aatoninl <br />Lozano <br />Raga <br />Secretary Falea <br />Ex-Officio Dsna <br />Absent: Ex-Officio Rohn <br />Kamp <br />King <br />Vice-Chairman brought up the questlan of reorganization of the Commission, and <br />since a sew commissloner has not yet been appointed, it was moved by Commissioner <br />Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and unanimously approved, that reorgan- <br />ization of the Commission be postponed until the next regular meeting. <br />On motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the minutes of <br />the meeting of April 19 were approved as presented and +~++-~imnusly adopted. <br />Vice-Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on as Amendment to OrBlnsace No. 309 <br />in order to provide official zoning for Anne~tion No. 16, Valley View Annex "A". <br />Secretary Fales, speaking for the staff, said this property is adjacent to Valley <br />View School, south of Vineyard Avenue, and is 3 acres in size. It has been zoned <br />RG-25 as an interim measure, and the staff now recommends permanent zoning as RG-25. <br />Vice-Chairman Landon asked if anyone wished to speak Prom the floor. No one spoke <br />from the audience. After a discussion by members of the Commission, on motion of <br />Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Raga, the following resolution was <br />ip]animnu9ly adopted: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 172 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has annexed an area of approximately three acres <br />known as Anne:mtion No. 16, Valley View Annex "A"; and <br />WHEREAS, interim zoning ea an RG-25 District was granted to the area within Annex- <br />ation No. 16 for s period of 180 days following annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has studied the area of Annexation No. 16 is rela- <br />tion to the City of Pleasanton General Plan and Ordinance No. 309, the <br />Zoning Ordinance; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID that the Planning Commission recommends that <br />Ordinance No. 309 be amended is order to provide zoning for the area of <br />Annexation No. 16 as an RG-25 District; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said recommendatlon be transmitted to the City Council <br />by the Commission Secretary. <br />Vice-Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on Amendment to Ordinance No. 309 <br />is order to provide official zoning for Annexation No. 19, Pleasanton-Sunol Annex <br />"A". Secretary Fales said this involves 14 acres, 9 of which are owned by the <br />Row-Peterson Publishing Company of Evanston, Illinois. The interim zoning has been <br />Imo' (Industrial Park). It lien iumiediate],y west of Pleasanton-Sunol Road and south <br />of the Sewage Treatment Plant. It is adjacent on the west to the San Francisco <br />
